Maths
This Functional Skills Maths course, funded by ASF / UKPSF through North Lincolnshire Council, is designed with employability at its heart. Delivered in partnership with NOCN, the course supports learners to build the maths skills needed for work, further learning, and everyday life. A dedicated Job Coach is available to support progression into employment or training.
E1 to Level 2

OBJECTIVES
Course Objectives & Outcomes
Use maths confidently in work and everyday situations
Develop confidence using numbers to solve practical problems in the workplace and daily life.
Apply maths skills to real-life work scenarios
Use maths for tasks such as measuring, handling money, calculating time, and interpreting information relevant to employment.
Improve numeracy and problem-solving skills
Strengthen skills in number, measures, shape, space, and data to support practical decision-making.
Understand and interpret numerical information
Read and understand charts, tables, payslips, timetables, and workplace documents accurately.
Build confidence alongside essential English skills
Develop maths skills while reinforcing the importance of clear communication and functional English for work and everyday life.
Achieve a nationally recognised qualification and progress
Work towards an NOCN Functional Skills Maths qualification, with personalised support from tutors and a Job Coach to progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further education.
