The Job You Want for ESOL
Employability
This The Job You Want course, funded by ASF / UKPSF through North Lincolnshire Council, is designed to support learners to develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to progress into employment, training, or further education. Delivered in partnership with NOCN, the course focuses on employability skills, job searching, and workplace readiness. A dedicated Job Coach is available to provide personalised support with next steps into work or learning.

OBJECTIVES
Course Objectives & Outcomes
Identify career goals and employment options
Explore job interests, strengths, and career pathways to help identify suitable employment or training opportunities.
Develop effective job search and application skills
Learn how to search for jobs, complete application forms, and produce CVs tailored to different roles.
Build confidence for interviews and the workplace
Prepare for interviews through practice, feedback, and confidence-building activities linked to real-life scenarios.
Understand employer expectations and workplace behaviour
Develop knowledge of professional behaviour, timekeeping, communication, and workplace responsibilities.
Improve communication and essential skills for employment
Strengthen English, maths, and digital skills needed to succeed in job applications and the workplace.
Progress into employment, training, or further learning
Create a clear progression plan with support from tutors and a Job Coach to move into work, apprenticeships, or further education.
