Frequently Asked
Funding
Many of our courses are fully funded through ASF / UKPSF via North Lincolnshire Council, meaning there is usually no cost to the learner if eligibility criteria are met. Funding depends on factors such as age, residency, employment status, and prior qualifications. Our team will support you to check your eligibility during the application or enrolment process.
Do I need any qualifications to enrol?
No formal qualifications are needed for most of our courses. We offer Entry Level through to Level 2 programmes and will carry out an initial assessment to make sure you are placed on the right course for your needs.
Can I join if English is not my first language?
Yes. We offer ESOL courses and ESOL-supported employability programmes designed to help learners improve their English for everyday life and work in the UK. Our tutors are experienced in supporting learners from a wide range of backgrounds.
When do courses start and how long do they last?
Many of our courses offer immediate or flexible start dates. Course length varies depending on the programme and level, and our team can give you full details when you contact us or apply.
I have a small child, what can I do?
We understand that childcare can be a barrier to learning. Our team can discuss flexible learning options, course timings, and available support to help you balance learning with family commitments. Please contact us to talk through your situation so we can explore the best options for you.
What support is available during my course?
We offer a range of learner support, including experienced tutors, learning support where needed, and access to a dedicated Job Coach who can help with CVs, job applications, interview preparation, and progression into work or further learning.
What if I’m not confident with learning or haven’t studied for a long time?
That’s absolutely fine. Many of our learners are returning to learning after a break or may feel unsure at first. Our courses are supportive, friendly, and designed for adults, with experienced tutors who will help you build confidence at your own pace.
How do I apply or find out more?
You can apply online using the course page or contact us directly using the form above. A member of our team will get in touch to discuss your goals, check eligibility, and help you choose the right course for you.
