Hospitality for ESOL
Employability
This Hospitality for ESOL course, funded by ASF / UKPSF through North Lincolnshire Council, is designed to support ESOL learners interested in working in hospitality settings such as hotels, cafés, restaurants, and catering environments. Delivered in partnership with NOCN, the course combines English language development with sector-specific vocabulary, customer service skills, and employability knowledge needed for progression into training or employment. A dedicated Job Coach is available to support progression into work or further learning.

OBJECTIVES
Course Objectives & Outcomes
Communicate confidently in hospitality and customer service settings
Develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
Use hospitality-specific language and terminology
Learn key vocabulary related to customer service, food and drink, bookings, hygiene, and daily workplace tasks.
Understand workplace expectations and health & safety
Build knowledge of professional behaviour, customer care, food safety awareness, and basic health and safety requirements.
Develop practical employability and customer service skills
Apply English and employability skills to real-life hospitality scenarios, including taking orders, handling enquiries, and following instructions.
Build confidence for progression into hospitality roles
Increase confidence to progress into further training, work placements, or employment within hospitality and customer service roles.
Progress towards recognised qualifications and employment
Prepare for progression into hospitality-related courses or employment, with personalised support from tutors and a Job Coach.
